Champagne Region, France

We went to Verdun and Reims in February. Not sure how these photos ended up hidden somewhere on the desktop, but here are a few. I’ve had a couple people recently ask me about that area. We went to Verdun first, then drove into Epernay to visit the Mercier Champagne house. Our friends, the Schultz’s lived in Paris and recommended the tour. It was great! Our kids loved the train ride into the caves and we got to taste some fantastic French champagne. Then we headed to the town of Reims and stayed overnight. There is an amazing gothic cathedral there, one of the  best in France. My favorite were the Marc Chagall stained glass windows. I try and see his work whenever I can. He rocks!
