Portraits in Camp Lejeune

The next few posts are repeats. The website server had a glitch last week and all my posts since April were deleted.

Here are some pictures from a great session I took recently in North Carolina at Camp Lejeune. This picturesque location is right in their front yard. I loved being out there for the weekend and meeting a few awesome Marine families.

Here are some “In His Shoes” pics we took with dad and his two little ladies…

The Bright Family

Last time I photographed this family I was 8 months pregnant in Newport braving the freezing RI temps. This time, I’m preggo again, but the weather was perfect and we were able to get way more shots.
I love this family dearly. Jill is one of the most generous and lovely people I know. I am so grateful that the military put our paths together for two tours. And now even just a few hours apart for our next journey.
It’s so sad to say goodbye, but I know that we are just a phone call and shopping trip away. I could have posted 50 fun pics from our session. Here are a few that make me smile…

Stuttgart Families

It was a great week here in Germany. I had some super fun shoots. I got to head downtown with a couple of families, explore the Monastery, and shoot at the Schloss. I love being able to give people these ‘souvenirs’ of their time in this great country. Here are some samples…

Mother’s Day in the Village

I spent a great Mother’s Day last week in the Swabian Alps with my family after church. (pics when I get around to editing them) After that I got to photograph this fun and energetic family in their village. I love shooting in places like this because it is such a special memory for them to keep. It really is crazy to say that some of us lived in a German village for a few years. There are normal highways, or Autobahns, in Stuttgart, then you exit off a numbered sign and eventually rural roads take you to a quaint and picturesque village with half timbered houses, churches, and nature parks. It was in this quaintness that I had some crazy laughs with this family and their two boys. Here are some glimpses of our session…

Spring Portraits

We have had the most amazing weather this Spring. Especially compared to the past 2 years. Happy kids equal a happy photographer. Here are some sessions from the past couple weeks. Fun times! I sure am going to miss this place…

boy crazy

This past weekend I had the pleasure of working with some really great families. Two of which had 3 boys. Pressure was on as we were working through rain showers and challenging Germany light. But with the help of my trusty ‘Little Bunny Foo Foo’, and magical shiny light reflector, we got some keepers. Looking at these photos make me smile. I love high energy shoots. And for some reason, when there are boys, there is chaos and fun. I love it. But the best memories are for the parents who get to enjoy these moments of laughter and nuttiness while their little guys are still at home.
